Temperature transmitter

A temperature transmitter takes a low-level sensor signal from an RTD like a Pt100 and converts it into a robust, standardised 4–20 mA output for reliable transmission to PLCs, DCS, controllers, or SCADA. It transforms tiny resistance changes into a stable analogue current loop, while conditioning the signal through linearisation, cold-junction compensation, and filtering to eliminate noise, drift, and electrical interference.

By providing full galvanic isolation between the sensor, loop power, and output, the transmitter protects your control system from earth faults and electrical noise. It also scales temperature ranges precisely, whether you need 0–100°C or 0–400°C, ensuring accuracy even across long cable runs.

Using a 4–20 mA transmitter instead of wiring sensors directly ensures exceptional noise immunity, removes errors caused by voltage drops over distance, supports all major industrial control systems, and provides clear fault detection—4 mA for low, 20 mA for high, and out-of-range signals for actionable alarms. This is how raw temperature data becomes reliable process intelligence for any industrial environment.
